2. Collection and storage of personal data and purpose of processing
When you join our club, we will collect the following information:

• Form of address, title
• Fist name
• Last name
• Address (professional)
• Phone and telefax number (professional)
• Mobile number
• E-Mail Address
• Position
• Company
• Homepage
• Date of birth

This data is collected,
• To identify you as a member of the club;
• To adequately represent your interests within the scope of the association’s purpose;
• For correspondence and communication with you;
• For invoicing and reminders regarding membership fees;
• To send information about your membership and the club, in particular about events, seminars, conferences etc.;
• For the SEPA direct debit, provided you place a direct debit order with us.

3. Legal Basis for Processing
We process personal data only for clear and legitimate purposes in accordance with the GDPR and (if available) the respective national data protection law.

3.1 Fulfilment of Contractual Obligations
Data processing is based on your direct request to join our club or an indirect request to join via the respective national branch of European Dairy Farmers e.V. and is in accordance with Art. 6, Para. B GDPR required for the stated purposes for the adequate fulfilment of obligations from the association’s statutes.

3.2 Balancing of Interests
If necessary, we process your personal data in accordance with Art. 6, Para. 1 S lit. F GDPR to protect our legitimate interests. This includes, for example, asserting our own legal claims and defending the club in legal disputes with you.

3.3 Processing for further purposes after prior consent
Provided you have given us your consent in accordance with Art. 6, Para. 1 S. 1 lit. A GDPR to process your personal data for certain other purposes, we are entitled to this purpose-related processing of the personal data. For example, if you have given your consent, we can use your email address to regularly send you our newsletter or invitations to events. To receive the newsletter provision of an email address is sufficient.
You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time, for example, via the link at the end of each newsletter. Alternatively, you can send your unsubscribe request via email to manager@dairyfarmer.net at any time.

3.3.1 EDF Cost of Production Analysis by EDF Scientific Team of Analysis and Research
As a member of European Dairy Farmers e.V., you have the opportunity to have the “Scientific Team of Analysis and Research“ (short: „STAR“) evaluate your dairy farm according to a scientific method and compare it with dairy farms of other association members. The scientists of the EDF “STAR” are also members of European Dairy Farmers e.V. The aim of the farm evaluation is to show you optimization options. For the data collection, the transmission of your personal and operational data to the EDF “STAR” is necessary, for which your prior consent is a basic requirement.

3.3.2 EDF Member Portal
EDF Connects, the EDF Mobile App / the EDF Member Portal is a collaboration, communication and information platform that promotes cooperation and exchange within the associations network (social networking) and provides information regarding the association to the various user groups.
When using EDF Connects, your personal data is visible to other members. Your prior consent is a basic requirement for this.

4. Recipient of the personal data collected or provided
A transfer of your personal data to third parties or from third parties to us for purposes other than those mentioned below or listed below does not take place.
Provided it is necessary according to Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b GDPR for the execution of statutory tasks, your personal data will be passed on to third parties. This includes in particular the transfer to service providers or to/from other vicarious agents as contract processors for us. For example, national EDF e.V. branches transmit your personal data to us, to tax offices, to support and maintain IT applications, archiving or for data destruction. All of the service providers or other vicarious agents employed by us have contractually agreed to maintain confidentiality with us to meet the requirements of the GDPR. We monitor compliance with the requirements and regularly monitor them.
In addition, your personal data can be transmitted to public bodies and institutions if the requirements to fulfil a legal obligation incumbent on us are met. If you have given your consent, your personal data can be shared with third parties for specific purposes, for example the Scientific Team of Analysis and Research or members (see para. 3.3.1 und 3.3.2).

5. Duration of Data Storage
We only process and store your personal data for as long as it is necessary to fulfil our contractual and legal obligations.
If your personal data is no longer required to fulfil contractual or legal obligations, it will be deleted regularly, as long as temporary further processing is not required to meet retention periods under commercial, tax or professional law. The retention periods under commercial and tax law are two to ten years.
The preservation of evidence to enforce our rights under the statue of limitations pursuant to §§ 195 et seq. BGB may require that your personal data will be kept for the duration of the limitation period (up to 30 years), the usual limitation period is three years.

6. Affected Rights
You have the right:

• To revoke your consent given to us at any time in accordance with Art. 7 Para. 3 GDPR. As a result, we will no longer be allowed to continue processing data, collected based on this consent, in the future;
• To request information about your personal data processed by us in accordance with Art. 15 GDPR. In particular, you can obtain information about the processing purposes, the category of personal data, the category of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period, the existence of a right to correction, deletion, restriction of processing or opposition, the existence of a right to lodge a complaint, the origin of your data, unless it was collected by us, and the existence of automated decision-making, including profiling and, if necessary, meaningful information about its details;
• To immediately request the correction of incorrect or incomplete personal data stored by us in accordance with Art. 16 GDPR;
• To request the deletion of your personal data stored by us according to Art. 17 GDPR, unless processing is required to execute the right of freedom of expression and information, for fulfilling a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for asserting, exercising or defending legal claim
• To demand the restriction of the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR, provided that the accuracy of the data is disputed by you, processing is unlawful, but you refuse its deletion and we no longer need the data, but you need it for the assertion, exercise or defence of legal claims or you have objected to processing in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR;
• To receive your personal data in accordance with Art. 20 GDPR that you have provided to us in a structured, common and machine-readable format or to request the transfer to another person responsible and
• To complain to a supervisory authority in accordance with Art. 77 GDPR. As a rule, you can contact the supervisory authority of your usual place of residence or work or our club headquarters.

7. Right to object
If your personal data is processed based on legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. F GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data in accordance with Art. 21 GDPR, provided there are reasons for this that arise from your particular situation.
